Featuring the same outstanding design as the industry-standard Atomuffler®, the Damper Muffler includes an added variable reactive damper that provides an unobstructed free-flow air passage to reduce noise caused by emanating raw exhaust air. This unique design utilizes a proven reactive principle of noise suppression. The explosive force of exhaust air impacting against the damper thrusts it into an oscillating motion, converting dynamic acoustic energy into kinetic energy. The damper’s responsive pulsating motion drains off kinetic energy hence dissipating acoustical energy. Some applications include foundry equipment and railway and transit brake systems.
